Multi-center Breast Research Project Symposium held concurrently

The 27th National Medical Imaging Technology Academic Conference of the Chinese Medical Association (CMA) was held from November 8th to 10th.

Over 3,000 imaging technology practitioners from all over the country came together to discuss and share the latest developments in medical imaging technology.

The Lanmage Standardized Imaging Mammography Multi-center Breast Research Project Symposium was also held concurrently.

Clinical validation: New guidelines fully conform to requirements

The symposium started with the clinical validation.

On the afternoon of November 9th, Prof. Mei Hong, from Shandong Medical Imaging Research Institute, Prof. Yu Zhan, from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Liu Jie, the Director of the Cancer Institute and Hospital of Tianjin Medical University, Rong Dongdong, the Director of the Beijing Xuanwu Hospital, Wang Feifei, the Director of the Liaoning Cancer Hospital and Institute, and Gong Liuyan, the Director of the Guilin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, made detailed comparisons and rigorously assessed more than 300 breast DR images provided by hospitals, after training.

Finally, it was concluded that the imaging quality had remarkably improved over the previous year, with pass rate increasing from 47% to 78%. The number of high-quality images had also increased significantly.

Furthermore, it was proved that the Guidelines for Standardized Mammography Operations (hereinafter referred to as the “New Guidelines”) fully conform to “Standardization, Precision and Safety” requirements. The New Guidelines satisfy both clinical and patient side requirements, as well as the imaging device side requirements.

After undergoing a series of standardized trainings under the Multi-center Breast Research Project based on the New Guidelines, the end users could master standardized mammography technology and provide accurate information for clinical diagnosis.

The Guidelines for Standardized Mammography Operations are highly suitable for hospital users in China and are trustworthy, safe and reliable.

Lanmage leads innovation development in the mammography industry

After several stages of review, training and discussion over two years, the Standardized Imaging Mammography Multi-center Breast Research Project jointly initiated by Lanmage and the Imaging Technology Branch under Chinese Medical Association, as well as the core users, have met with tremendous success.

“Lanmage is currently the most comprehensive breast DR solution provider in China. It is our responsibility to bring together the industry, universities, institutions and users, and fully promote the standardization and development of mammography imaging in China.” said Zheng Jie, Deputy General Manager and R&D Director of Lanmage, at the event.

“The New Guidelines are just the beginning. In future, Lanmage will further deepen the development of innovations by working together with experts and users, and spare no effort to promote the ‘Created in China’ strategy, while safeguarding the health of the public with highly intelligent and precise imaging devices.”
